Richard Burbidge

|
Richard Burbidge is a
Senior Principal Engineer with Intel Corporation. With 25 years of experience
in the wireless industry, he has been involved with the development of
cellular standards since 1998, and has been a 3GPP delegate since its
inception in 1999. Over this time he has contributed to 3 generations of
cellular technology, firstly UMTS, then LTE, and now 5G NR. He is currently
serving as the chairman of the 3GPP TSG RAN 2 committee that is responsible
for the specification of the layer 2 and 3 radio interface protocols for LTE
and 5G NR, having previously served as the vice chairman from 2005-2009.
Richard received his degree in Electrical and Information Sciences from the
University of Cambridge, UK in 1993.

Yang Tang

|
Dr. Yang Tang is a Principal Engineer and manager at Intel's Next
Generation and Standard organization. He leads Intel's effort in 3rd
Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) working group 4 with focusing on
specifying 3G/4G/5G RF performance, protocol and the minimum requirements for
transmission and reception. Yang's expertise include signal processing, MIMO,
radio resource management and cross-layer optimization. As an industry well
recognized expert in standardization and research, Yang has been appointed to
various leadership positions in 3GPP and IEEE including specification editor
and rapporteurs etc. He is an established innovator with 100+ granted patents
on mobile communication systems. Prior to Intel, he has worked for Samsung
and Huawei for modem development and standardization including HSPA,
LTE/LTE-A and Wimax. Yang received his Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication
Engineering from the University of Sydney in 2006.

Haijie Qiu
|
Haijie Qiu, graduated
from China academy of telecomm and technology (CATT) with Master degree in 2009.
He has 10 years working experience in 3GPP and has made over than 800 3GPP
contributions in 3GPP RAN4. He has been 3GPP RAN4 delegate since 2011 and has
been Samsung RAN4 head of delegation since 2015. He severed as rapporteur of
several WIs in LTE including CoMP, FD-MIMO and eFD-MIMO. He is NR
specification rapporteur for 38.101-4 on UE Performance requirements. He
chaired multiple LTE/NR topics in RAN4.

Xutao Zhou

|
Xutao Zhou received his Master Degree in Telecommunications from
University of Warwick, UK. Mr. Zhou joined the Standard Research Team in
Samsung Research China Beijing in 2007, focusing on standardization of mobile
communications. Mr. Zhou was elected as 3GPP RAN4 Chairman in 2015. Since
then, Mr. Zhou has been chairing the 3GPP RAN4 meetings for defining the
radio frequency requirements for 5G NR and LTE.
