TC8 was established with the purpose to improve industry competitiveness by developing a common industry standard that follows the global trend in next generation intelligent transportation and the development of automated driving and V2X initiated by the loV.

By creating specifications that is on par with international standards, TC8 can provide Taiwanese companies a reference specification when manufacturing and marketing products.

The committee will also serve to introduce foreign technologies that can serve as a reference for the industry, government, academia, and research sectors as they formulate their strategy for the future.
