本研究報告涵蓋Small Cell的SON功能測試，包含自動建立基地台相鄰關係(ANR, Automatic Neighbor Relation)、自動配置基地台物理識別碼(PCI, Physical Cell ID)、隨機存取通道(RACH, Random Access Channel)最佳化與基地台吞吐容量與覆蓋範圍最佳化(CCO, Capacity and Coverage Optimization)等四種功能測試之研究報告。 本研究報告可以協助國內小型基地台(Small Cell)設備廠商進行SON功能測試，整合國內各廠商之測試規範，並共同討論項目合理性與可實施性，作為產業測試之共通性參考。

With the extremely strong market demands on 5G mobile communication systems, 5G standardization activities has started in ITU and 3GPP. It is expected that 3GPP is going to complete the first phase of 5G normative work by the first half of 2018, and provide the second phase of 5G technical specification for the IMT-2020 submission by the end of 2019. In order to facilitate the 5G standardization work, potential technologies to address the use cases and requirements of the IMT-2020 are investigated in the present document.

TAICS members have investigated 5G use cases, requirements and candidate technologies. Their views, including standardization scope and timeline, are captured in the attached white paper. More technology details will be further studied within TAICS and the results will be shared with other SDOs through the liaison or the technical workshop in the future.
