TAICS Signed Memorandum of Cooperation with Japan's TTC.
Chairman of Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards (TAICS), Jonathan Tsang, signs Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Tokyo, Japan today (11th) with CEO of Japan Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB), Fusaki Matsui, and CEO & SVP of Japan Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC), Yoichi Maeda, respectively, to affirm cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in promoting the development of 5G/IoT and ITS standards.
ARIB is Japan’s Standards Development Organization (SDO) for promoting the practical application and dissemination of radio systems in the telecommunications and broadcasting fields, and has been established for more than 20 years. TTC is Japan’s Standards Development Organization (SDO) recognized by ITU-T as SDO to be referenced from ITU-T Recommendations and has been established for more than 30 years. Besides in Japan itself, TTC’s influence has spread to the entire Asia-Pacific region. It is devoted to the promotion of technical standards of the various domains in ICT.
TAICS is the Standards Development Organization (SDO) of Taiwan’s ICT industry and the single window that handles external international standards matters and cooperates with international standards organizations. TAICS has been established for nearly a year and has nearly 100 corporate members at present. In the future, it shall continue to consolidate Taiwan's industrial strength, promote cooperation and exchange Information with international and regional standard organizations.
